~11.12.2010~Senior Night~ (Summer, Danielle and) Diandra - Can't believe my niece is a senior and will be graduating this year! Brings tears to my eyes...

~CBYAA Banquet 11.14.2010~

In addition to getting the trophy for playing football Carter also received the "Bobby Duke Award" and Madison got "Most Spirited." Very proud of my kids.
We all had a good night and they both had a very successful football/cheer season. This marks the end of CBYAA football for Carter and marks the beginning of Varsity cheerleading for Madison.

I look forward to next season when Carter starts JV high school football.

Homecoming 2010

Last night Madison went to the CBYAA Annual Homecoming Dance for grades K-8. I took her to get her nails/toenails painted, curled her hair and did her makeup. She just loves to get dressed up.
Unlike her mother at her age, she we was dancing her little feet off all last night...(Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide, etc.)! She makes me so proud! And if you are wondering where Carter was, well he went to the movies with his friends so he could completely avoid the dance all together. He is not into dancing and being a socialite....now that sounds like his mother!!!

Carter's 14th Birthday!!

It's a little late, but I just downloaded some pictures off the camera.

Carter turned 14 on September 21st. The weekend before his birthday we spent the day going to the Bass Pro store to get a shotgun, going to Short Pump (to shop), and then we ate at the Cheesecake Factory (yum yum). Then for his birthday, after football practice, we ate cake and ice cream and sang him HAPPY BIRTHDAY...he was so thrilled about that (NOT!) Then a few weeks later we took him and some of his friends to King Dominion for the Halloween Haunt. That was a lot of fun. Of course him and his friends ditched Scott and I at the front gate and we met up later to eat. I think Scott got his feelings hurt. I do believe it was the first time he didn't want to hang out with his dad.

I would like to thank everyone for the calls, birthday cards, and gifts. It was definitely a SPECIAL day for all of us. (BTW....It hit me on that day, that I am really OLD, he will be driving in 2 years, and will be headed for college in 4 years!!)

Madison's Birthday Party

Party was a SUCCESS!!! Just got home from a very, long day. It was so nice to see family and to catch up on life.

Madison's birthday started off at the Pottery By Hands place in town with 6 of her friends. They had fun painting flowers and flip-flops. After that was completed we headed back to my parents to swim, eat and open presents.

I will be taking her to the movies and dinner on Friday, September 17th for her real Birthday!

I had to add the one and only picture I got of Carter on her BD.

September 17, 2010

I took Madison to the movies (Nanny McPhee Returns), shopping (which she hated every minute of!), and to dinner. We had a great time together. I got only a few pictures of her on her actual birthdate, so I figured I would post one. Many thanks for the gifts, cards, and the phone calls.

Madison & Bear

A more recent picture of Bear. He is now 5 1/2 months now. We took him to Petsmart this past weekend to get groomed. I think he looks like an adult now.

Carter's 14th Birthday

On September 25th we are going to celebrate Carter's 14th Birthday with family. Too old for a theme and he is not into inviting friends over.

So I ask him what he wants for his birthday and he replies a shotgun and hunting clothes. I think his Uncle Brandon and LaShaad have given him the hunting fever. I never thought in my entire life that I would have a child that really wants to be a hunter.

Pictures will be posted as soon as the day gets here!

Madison's 10th Birthday

This is a little early, but I wanted to get it out there so I wouldn't forget. Once we have the party on Sunday I will post pictures.

This year Madison decided to have her Birthday Party at the Pottery Place in town. The girls will be painting 2 pieces of pottery (a flip-flop and a flower). Her theme is flip-flops and beach balls. After the pottery place we are heading back to my parent's house for food and swimming. My parent's just got there outdoor living space completed, so we will be taking advantage of the shiny, new grill!

Hope all of her friends and family can make it!

1st Day of School

Carter is in 8th grade this year and Madison is in the 5th grade.

Madison's Pool Party!!!!

Madison just had her annual pool party on Saturday. We had most of her old friends show up as well as some new friends. They swam in the pool, played games, worked on some crafts, and ate pizza. Madison and her grandma plan for this each year and they have a great time together doing it. I will say as HOT as it was yesterday, the pool was the place to be!

Girls (The sun was in their eyes!!!)

Crafts (Here they are working on some sand art.)

We Finally Did It........

We went Bethpage Camp-Resort to visit with Fred&Jenny for the night!! Must say it was pretty nice for a campground. I didn't see any tents, so it's more like a trailor park.

We took the kids to the water park, lake, and we attempted to do some fishing on Fred's boat. That lasted for about an hour before we decided to move the boat to another fishing spot and the boat wouldn't start. So Fred and Scott spent a little time trying to get it to start. I must say that Scott and don't have much luck with boats, so I expected that was going to happen.

But all and all we had a great time with the family.

Cocoa "Bear" - Newest Addition to Family!!!

Maddie has finally talked us into allowing her to have her own dog. So her grandparents gave her the $$$ to get one. So far he has been great with the potty-training and he loves to chase Scout around! But we have only had him for a week and a few days, everything is subject to change!

Myrtle Beach, SC - Family Vacation

We went on our yearly summer vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC for a week in June. We went along with some friends and family. Had a great time at the beach. Hopefully one day I will be living closer to the ocean and not so close to the Potomac River!

Some Pictures of our vacation....
